Red Bull GmbH has recently filed a complaint with the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center, asserting legal rights over the disputed domain name NewYorkRedBulls.XXX.

According to whois records the domain name was registered by Andrew Ayton on December 6, 2011, the day the ICM Registry made the .XXX extension available for public sale.

Red Bull should expect the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center order the domain name be transferred, considering the company owns the "Red Bull" trademark.

The WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center will examine if the domain name is confusingly similar to the trademarked name. Moreover, it will examine if the owner of NewYorkRedBulls.XXX domain name has rights over it and if the domain name is being used in bad faith. This domain name will be passed over to Red Bull if it falls under all three of these stipulations.

The case is still pending compliance checks with the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center
