December 18, 2009, the
Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) released a
draft of new gTLDs intention program, and in March 2011 formally
approved the implementation of the new gTLDs scheme.
April 2012, China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC) filed officially application to ICANN for .公司(company) and .網(wǎng)絡(luò)(network) being written to root DNS of global internet.
According to the "Notice of Chinese Internet Domain System" issued by the former Ministry of Information Industry (now the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology), as Chinese Internationalized Domain Names(IDN), the registration services of .公司 and .網(wǎng)絡(luò) got already available for mainland Chinese users.
1. Regulation for the pre-Sunrise period: from January 21, 2014 6 P.M.(GMT+8) to the start date of Sunrise, ".公司" and ".網(wǎng)絡(luò)" are not open for registration.
2 During the non-registration period, Whois query service is not affected. Renewals, transfers and other related services are not affected for original holders.
3. Specific Sunrise time and detailed rules will be noticed soon. Please stay tuned.

In order to maintain the normal registration order after the delegation of ".公司" and ".網(wǎng)絡(luò)" and safeguard national and public interest, based on ICANN new gTLD registration regulations, CNNIC will make adjustments on the registration services for ".公司" and ".網(wǎng)絡(luò)" as follows:
